Ever since she was a little girl, JuliAnn has found joy in baking. As a child she loved to whip up chocolate chip cookies and concocted many variations that her family and friends loved, and still do to this day. She was raised in a family that valued service and contribution, so it was entirely natural for her to take her joy of all things flour, butter and sugar, and begin #PiesForHeroes.
In April of 2017, she began baking delicious pies and delivering them to a variety of local service organizations. Her fourth stop was to her local Fire Station #31 in Pasadena, California. As she delivered her pie that day, one of the captains immediately made a request for a blueberry pie the following week. From that point on, she has made a different pie for them on a regular basis. It’s been extra special to continue serving these firefighters because she has a number of them in her family.
